DIY: Color Clothes Pins

Clothes pins are such a cheap and cute way to display things but sometimes they can get to be a bit drab in that simple wood color, so here's a ways to brighten them up!

What you'll need:
Wooden Clothes Pins (I bought mine at the dollar store)
Fabric Dye - liquid would be best (please note - the color will be much darker than the actual dye)
A metal bowl
Paper towels
A Spoon

Fill the bowl with hot water (this will allow the wood to expand and let in the maximum amount of dye)

Add in the desired amount of dye (hint - the more you add the darker they will be)

Add the clothes pins - and mix. Let them sit in the dye for about an hour. The longer you let them sit the darker they will come out. Please keep in mind that once they're removed from the dye-water mixture that they will be about 3x darker.

Let them dry for about an hour. You should see them getting darker.

And there you go! You've got a cheap and easy way to hang photos, signs, scarves and more :)

We will be using our colorful clothes pins to hang up our Zzouzi Vintage sign this weekend at The Vintage Bazaar!
