This weekend Leilani, The Thriftaholic, invited me to a preview of Randolph Street Market's Modern Vintage show. This was only my second time going to the show, the first being back in college before I started Zzouzi Vintage, and holy moly, it was packed with goodies! I don't think I've walked through a market and gasped more times. Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly?) Leilani and I ended up being drawn to very similar things, large statement jewelry. I would have bought it all! Unfortunately my budget did not allow for crazy spending, but I did end up with some pretty pieces.
I bought three1970's plastic bracelets in varying tones of coral, two rings, and a number of other pieces for my shop. Leilani ended up with an adorable blue floral Summer dress, a wooden square ring from Dethrose Vintage, and a bold silver rectangle ring from another vendor (?).

|Adorable outtake! Doesn't the color of the door nicely compliment her outfit?|
After four hours shopping, mingling, and photographing we were starving. We had a late brunch at Birchwood Kitchen in Bucktown. I had the croque madame (sans ham) with shiitake mushrooms, leeks, and dijon mustard which was wonderful. Leilani had their version of corned beef and hash which looked just as delicious. I think egg on top of anything is good. Yes, I'm one of those people.
It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning. Photos of the market will be posted later on this week.
