Guest Post by Stacia of Free to be Stacia Lee

Hello Zzouzi fans!  My name is Stacia and I blog over at free to be Stacia Lee.  I blog about life, DIY, style & affordable finds!  I am a lover of vintage and have a etsy shop too!   So today I'm going to share with you a few of my favorite vintage clothing items that I kept for myself!

A nautical striped dress that's belted? A no-brainer!

The purse that speaks to you.  Floral, lucite handles & doubles as a clutch.

The skirt that brings you back to 1987 and Patrick Swayze. Yes I feel very "baby" from Dirty Dancing in this skirt.

The little details that make the item pop.  This skirt with its tiny front belt is oh so cute!

Thanks to Sarah for allowing me to guest post!  Feel free to come visit me over at FTBSL

Scootin' Around Town

Wednesday I finally got to hang out with one of my favorite vintage gals, Kyla of Lost & Find Vintage.  We met up for coffee and lunch then did some thrifting! Kyla has an adorable turquoise scooter that we road around in. Sadly not much luck with thrifting (which I guess was good in this case because we didn't have much room) but it's always fun to go thrifting with other vintage dealers. We found a lot of stuff for each other and it's always nice to get their opinion on what you should buy.

Outfit Details:
Polkadot Chino Shorts - Target
1980's Number's Shirt - Zzouzi Vintage (looks like this one is a keep!)
Kelly & Katie Nude Wedges - DSW
Horn Watch - Michael Kors
Orange bracelet: Mr & Mrs DIGZ
Vintage London Charm Bracelet - Thrifted
Cheetah Bracelet - from a Bazaar in Morocco

You can get Kyla's details on her NEW blog! Yay! Check it out and follow her. She's great and has beautiful outfits!

Have a great weekend guys! I'll be heading to Randolph Street Market early tomorrow morning with Leilani - check my instagram for updates!

Homemade Lemonade Fizz

I made this a few days ago and I got a lot of requests for a recipe so here it is! It's pretty simple and super delicious!
You will need:
A large pitcher
Sprite (or Gingerale)
1 Orange
1 Lemon
1/2 a cucumber

Combine lemonade and sprite to taste (I did a full bottle of minute maid lemonade and 1/2 a sprite). Thinly slice the orange, cucumber, and lemon - add to mixture (remove all seeds). Add raspberries and stir.

It's best to leave the mixture overnight to get the full flavor of all of the fruits but even if it's just in the fridge for a few hours it'll still be delicious! If you're making this a bit more wild add some champagne instead of sprite and some peach schnapps!

It's perfect for a hot summer's day!

Zzouzi Vintage on WGN News

Outfit Details:
1960's Vintage Dress - Buffalo Exchange
Straw Fascinator - Zzouzi Hats
T-Strap Wedges - Target
Bangles -  Thrifted

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts. It's been a pretty busy couple of weeks with the sales Zzouzi Vintage is doing and my new job. I was lucky enough to be a part of the few people chosen to be on WGN News last Thursday for a segment they were doing about Vintage Garage Chicago. That also meant getting up at 5 in the morning in order to set up a fake booth so they can pretend they're filming us "live" at the Vintage Garage. Nottt so easy to get up at 5, set up a full booth, and look cute, let me tell you.

I hope everyone's week has been going well. I updated the shoplast night. Check it out!

Gold Glitter Shoes: Bobs
Lipstick: Russian Red

(photographs by Leilani Wertens)

Last week Ismail and I were invited to our friend's 4th of July barbecue at her (aamaaaazing) house. With good food, great company, and plenty of drinks to go around the night was a blast. We played lawn darts and I won! We made funny spiral hot dogs (who knew that they cooked more evenly that way) and attempted to plan a big road trip for the end of the summer!

I DIYed these shorts the night before the BBQ and I am so happy with how they turned out! I used acrylic as well as fabric silk screening paint to make these bad boys. The stars were stamped on with a home made potato stamp! And I used tape to get the stripes. Leilani said I reminded her of Kelly Kapowski from Saved by the Bell in these, which I totally don't mind! She was a babe!

If you want to check out more pictures of that night, or Leilani's outfit, visit her blog here

Happy Monday

What a whirlwind of a week! Why does it seem like weeks go by so much more quickly in the summer time? Is it because we're enjoying ourselves? It's not fair that winter drags on while we can't even keep up with different months in the summer!

Above is my shared booth with Poly Golightly! Yay happy booth!
